Race 2. 13.55 Cheltenham: 3m (2m7f213y) (New) Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle (Grade 3) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (5yo+)
Left reappearance run well behind when landing competitive C&D handicap in December. Creditable 5 lengths third of 13 to reopposing Imperial Alcazar at Warwick. Likely to give another good account.
Race 3. 14.30 Cheltenham: 2m4½f (2m4f127y) (New) Ryanair Chase (Registered as The Festival Trophy) (Grade 1) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (5yo+)
Top-class chaser who gained deserved win in this race 12 months ago. Scored on return in John Durkan but rare poor run in Dublin Chase last month. Sort to bounce back as he bids to defend his crown.
Race 4. 15:05 Cheltenham: 3m (2m7f213y) (New) Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle (Grade 1) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (4yo+)
Still the leading staying hurdler, a point underlined by his strong-finishing victory in the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot in December. Should take all the beating as he looks to regain the crown.
Race 5. 15:40 Cheltenham 2m4½f (2m4f127y) (New) Paddy Power Plate Handicap Chase (Grade 3) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (5yo+)
Grade 1-winning hurdler who improved massively on previous chasing form when landing red-hot Leopardstown handicap last month (The Shunter third). Stiffer test will suit and a very interesting runner.
