As always we try and break down the English Premier League for the week 4 weekend betting tips, each week we will bring you our best bets from the EPL – lets hope to bag you a few winners.
Chelsea (1.48) V Crystal Palace (7.0) – 3rd October 12:30 K.0
It’s a London derby to kick us of this weekend with Crystal Palace travelling to Chelsea, a game which usually sees Chelsea dominate the Eagles hence the very short on of 1.48 on the blues.
None of the last 18 EPL games between these clubs have finished level, with the CFC winning 14 to Palace’s four. Chelsea have won seven of our past nine home league games against Crystal Palace, losing the other two in August 2015 and April 2017, so it’s kind of weird to see the majority of the money for the Draw and Palace – see below (blue indicates the price shortening).
The last 15 Premier League games between these teams’ home and away has seen 11 fixtures go over 2.5 goals that’s 73.3% not a stat that can be ignored but the 1.74 on offer still feels a little short.
Chelsea are off the back of a loss away at Tottenham in the week where they were knocked out the league cup on penalties after dominating the 1st half against spurs, to only let them back in the game late on.
Palace are coming to Stamford Bridge after a loss to Everton 2-1, although CPFC did dominate large parts of that game the struggled to finish their chances which I feel will cost them this season Zaha is a great striker but just feel his head is somewhere else at this present time, with only a few days left in the transfer window it wouldn’t surprise me to see Zaha make a big move to a top 6 club on loan with an option to buy next year. Keep a close eye on Arsenal.
I think Chelsea will be far too strong for Palace today, I’m not a massive fan of Lampard and do feel he probably isn’t up to the Chelsea job but he has too many hot prospects on the field that can get the job done for him.
With all that’s been said above I really like Chelsea to win and over 2.5 goals in the game, I think 2.20 is good value and will get us off to a nice start to our betting Saturday.

Everton (1.83) v Brighton (4.50) – 3rd October – 15:00 K.O
The Toffees verses the Seagulls is an interesting fixture, both teams have started their campaigns really well with Everton shocking most football fans already this season, can they make it four wins out of four? You’d probably think so.
Firstly, let’s start off with Brighton, Brighton got us off to a great start last week, we tipped up both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in their game against Manchester United – We feel Brighton have some great players going forward and they will cause most teams troubles our favs being Trossard, Lamptey and Solly March, there’s a lot of quality in the side.
The same applies to Everton, they have brought well and the side has been transformed, what could come back to haunt them this week is the fact they played a very strong side against West Ham in the Carabao Cup and these will see Allen miss today’s game, with also a late fitness test to the Brazilian Richarlson.
Our bet this week follows the same trend as last week which saw us grab a win – Both teams have so much going forward we can see a few goals in the game. We are going to back both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in the game at 2.10 hope fully this will be the 2nd winner of the day and roll us onto Sundays winner at the Emirates.
- Both teams to score O2.5 Goals 2.10 Mr Play Sports.
Arsenal (1.5) V Sheffield United (6.15) Sunday 4th October 15:00 KO
Moving onto Sunday’s game as we really like a bet in this game, we’d rather give you our hottest best rather than just filling up pages for the sake of it!
Last season you would probably want to put your money on Sheffield United, Arsenal were not firing and Sheffield were probably in the form of their lives. The fixture actually ended 1-1 but Arsenal were lucky to get a point out the game if I remember rightly.
I think this season it’s a different ball game, Arteta has his men firing, they believe in what the Spaniard is telling them to do and the in-game management has improved 100x – Arsenal were dominated at home on Monday night against Liverpool but they missed a couple of chances late on to maybe take a point away from the game, roll on a few days later and they knocked a lessor LFC team out of the cup (Arteta hasn’t lost a domestic cup game since taking over).
Sheffield United haven’t won a game in their last 5, and I can’t see this changing at the emirates tomorrow. Chris Wilder mentioned in his pore match conference yesterday that
“The shape of the team is good; Arsenal are a good counter attacking team and at the top of pitch [they have] some outstanding talent. They have invested heavily and these are the challenges facing me and my coaching team.
“More difficult to play against, defend from the front and have players going forward who are positive and can hurt any team in the Premier League.”
Sheffield have invested heavily in Rhian Brewster from Liverpool this week, but with only a couple of training sessions is he the type of player that will hit the ground running? I’m not sure.
I think Arsenal will be a dominate force tomorrow, Aubameyang got a well needed rest in the week, the same with Lacazette and Willian – I think the front 3 will be full of running and cause Sheffield too many problems.
Arsenal WILL win at the Emirates tomorrow and there will be a lot of goals in the game – I can comfortably see arsenal winning 3-0/3-1 – I think they have too much all over the park this year.
That’s why taking Arsenal to Win and over 2.5 goals in the game at 2.35 is the BET of the weekend!
