The Premier League enters game week 3 today, sadly we won’t be seeing any fans in the stadiums anytime soon due to Boris and his ridiculous rules, but I’d rather watch football without fans than not have any football to watch at all, I know that much!
So, let’s get into this week’s fixtures and try to get you a few winners…
Brighton V Manchester United – 12:30pm
My 1st bet of the week comes in the early game between Brighton and Man Utd.
Brighton have played 4 games already this season after having played 2 League Cups games and they haven’t exactly let themselves down – 3 Wins 1 Loss – they lost the opener to Chelsea but have gone on to beat Portsmouth, Newcastle and Preston.
I’ve been really impressed with a number of players for Brighton already this season Lamptey and Trossard have been amazing on the right and Dunk (who should start for a Top 4 team) has been solid as ever.
Manchester United come here after a 3-0 Away win in the League Cup to Luton but I think we see at least 10 changes in the lineup today and I’m not sure why Ole rested so many players because after watching the 3-1 loss at home to Crystal Palace last weekend a lot of that team could do with game minutes in their legs – they were awful!
I think Brighton will be well up for this game, I think they will be by the fitter team and cause Manchester United a lot of problems on the right, and I’m not sure if Luke Shaw is entirely up to the challenge.
Saying that United have a lot of fire power, scoring goals shouldn’t be a problem but I do feel they need to sign not 1 but 2 defenders in this transfer window.
All that being said – I can see goals in this game, Brighton will score and United have the players to also score.
Take Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals with Betiton at 11/10 (2.10). Let’s start the day with a win!
Crystal Palace V Everton 15:00
This is a VERY interesting game, without looking, scrolling down doing your Saturday football accumulators you would automatically opt for the Toffees. They are 2 from 2 joint top of the league and all is well at the club.
Crystal Palace are also 2 from 2 defeating Southampton on the opening day and tearing United a new one last week end. They certainly have started well.
My thoughts on this game are mixed, but one thing I have taken from watching last week, Everton’s defense isn’t all it seems, I think this is their weakest area on the park, they won nicely against West brom but if you watched the game even with 10 men and their manager sent to the stands they could of scored 3 or 4 goals and they are arguably the worst team in the league (sorry WBA fans – going to be a long season).
With all that’s been said I really do think Crystal Palace can surprise a lot of people today and get a result, I’m going to play it safe but I think home advantage comes into play, Palace will score goals and we recommend betting:
Crystal Palace Draw No Bet at 33/20 (2.65) with Betiton
Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United (Sunday) 3pm
We move to Sunday’s games as nothing else stands out as value in the rest of the Saturday fixtures, there’s a few short price favs but we try and look for at least an even money shot for you.
Spurs come into this fixture after destroying Southampton and I think they could also have a field day against Newcastle – Newcastle lost 3-0 to 10 men Brighton last week and bounced back with a bit of confidence by beating Morecambe 7-0 away from home in the cup but I just don’t think they have enough to get any points in North London.
Harry Kane and Son seemed like nothing could stop them last week, its pains me to write this (being an Arsenal fan) but I think Son most definitely walks into any team in the league.
There is not a great deal of insight to be had here, I just think Harry Kane is bang in form, if he stays fit, he will be pushing for the golden boot this season and I would highly recommend betting:
Harry Kane to score anytime at 5/6 with betiton
- Brighton v Man Utd – Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals (2.10).
- Crystal Palace v Everton – Palace Draw No Bet (2.65)
- Tottenham v Newcastle Unites – Kane to Score anytime (1.83)
